Order your custom grown, earth-friendly spring plants!
It's not too early to daydream of warmer days.
Seeds are going in the dirt already here at Rain and Shine, with exuberant anticipation of spring 2022. Check out the list below of plants we could start growing for your spring garden, and we'll grow them just for you. Since you're here on the website, the prices are lower than what we offer at market events! Free delivery in Jefferson and Bullitt counties, or you can pick plants up at a market event.
To get started...
1. Pick out your plants from the list below and fill up a cart. The product you will receive will be a young plant of the descriptions shown below, growing in a 3" peat pot that can either be planted directly in the ground or a planter, or the plant can be removed and planted in most cases (exceptions noted). For the most part I show pictures of the end product the plant will produce, but there's an example here to the left of what sort of lovely creature you will receive.
2. Check out and settle up online.
3. During check out, you'll be asked to choose between Curbside Pickup, or Shipping/Local Delivery Address.
- Choose Curbside Pickup if you are a friend or family member and we'll see each other anyway in April :-), OR if you prefer to pick plants up from an upcoming market event we will attend. Both of these options are free.
- Choose Shipping/Local Delivery Address if you prefer us to drop your plants to your doorstep - whether that be your home or work. Note that this option is only available to Jefferson and Bullitt counties in Kentucky, and is also Free!
4. We'll coordinate a day for dropping them off or picking them up in April via email!
Plants are all grown in peat pots that can be planted directly in the ground if desired, or removed and planted; regardless, no plastic is involved - nothing to recycle. As a courtesy to the earth, for delivery orders, please consider 10 plants/$10 the minimum order. :-) If you'll pick it up from us somehow, feel free to order just one plant - no minimum.
Rain and Shine has a seed library, both purchased seeds as well as personal saved seeds, of hundreds of varieties of veggies, herbs, annual/perennial flowers and pollinator-attracting plants that are not all listed here. In the store this year I've listed some of my personal favorites, as well as some plants that are popular; please drop an email to rainandshinelouisville@gmail.com if you have a special request! Chances are I have the seeds and if not, it's a fantastic excuse to shop for more. Happy spring planting!
